Managing Director of MyCEB
The Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions (MICE) industry is one of the key areas that is being
aggressively promoted in recent years. To successfully market the country as a choice destination for MICE, there’s a need for a specific administrative body to coordinate matters related to the industry.
The formation of Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) was announced on December 2008, to
act as a one-stop centre to assist convention and exhibition organisers. MyCEB’s goal is to establish Malaysia as the preferred MICE destination with the vision of positioning the country as a professional world-class venue of great prominence.
TOURISM MALAYSIA
The Malaysian Government is very supportive of the MICE industry and offers comprehensive assistance and numerous incentives to boost the industry, among others, through Tourism Malaysia, Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) and also tax incentives.
